Aubrey Vernon Thompson, 93, of Fairlea, WV, passed away Monday, October
15, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Portage, IN.
Born May 22, 1925, in Monroe County, WV, he was the son of Leonard and
Alva McDaniel Thompson.
Aubrey was a member of the Fairlea ARP Church. He loved woodworking and
being outdoors. He worked as a bulk milk driver for RIPCO and worked for
Southern States as a driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Neva
Myrtle Fullen Thompson; daughter, Norma Kay Thompson Hall; sister,
Evelyn Thompson Holcomb; and brother, Emory Thompson.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Ann Thompson McCoy (Daniel);
son-in-law, Chester Hall; sisters-in-law, Rita Harris (Bill), Shelby
Dodd (Roy), and Wanda and Caroline Fullen; five grandchildren, Christy
Smith (Greg), Erica Bush (Jason), Becky Jackson (Tim), Brenda Hall, and
Mike Hall; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018, at
the Fairlea ARP Church with Pastor Bill Harris officiating. Burial will
follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Ronce-verte, WV.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Morgan
Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy should be made to the Fairlea
ARP Church, 9364 Seneca Trail South, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
