ORGAN CAVE W.Va. (WVDN) – Two individuals lost their lives after a vehicle crash on Sunday, March 24. Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Bart Baker released the following statement:
“On Sunday, March 24, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle automobile accident on U.S. Route 219 south of Ronceverte and near Organ Cave. The accident was a head-on collision with entrapment. The driver and passenger in one of the involved vehicles succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Their names are being withheld pending family notifications.
“The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Crime/Accident Scene Reconstruction Team processed the scene. Ronceverte PD and the fire departments of Ronceverte, Fairlea and Lewisburg responded.”
Lieutenant D. W. Hedrick, of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, is the investigating office.
