GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – At a special meeting convened on Wednesday, March 20, the Greenbrier County Board of Education was faced with significant changes within its leadership ranks. The meeting, according to the agenda, saw the resignation of Adam Young, the principal of Greenbrier West High School, and the retirement announcement of Greenbrier County Schools Superintendent, Jeffrey Bryant.
According to the meeting agenda, Adam Young, who currently serves as the head principal at Greenbrier West High School, tendered his resignation effective June 30.
In addition to Young’s resignation, the meeting agenda also included the announcement of Superintendent Jeffrey Bryant’s retirement. Superintendent Bryant, who has been at the helm of Greenbrier County Schools since 2016, will officially retire at the close of business on March 29.
Prior to his tenure as superintendent, Jeffrey Bryant served as the principal of Greenbrier East High School, a position he held with dedication and distinction.
There have been no announcements regarding replacements as of the time of publishing.
