Dorothy Owen Albaugh, 98, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.
She was born May 25, 1920, daughter of William Frederick and Mary Delilah Stidd Owen.
Dorothy was a secretary at the office of the District Superintendent of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, clerk at the Greenbrier Public Service District Office when it was located on Washington Street, and a clerk at Winkler’s Office Supplies. She enjoyed gardening and baking, especially pier and cheese bread.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Esten E. Albaugh; son, Russell Owen Albaugh; and brothers, Johnnie and William Owen.
She is survived by daughter, Jeanette Albaugh, with whom she resided with in Lewisburg; and sister, Kathryn McCain and niece, Marilyn McCain, both of Steubenville, OH.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Rosewood Cemetery with the Rev. Bev Columbo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.
