Harvey Ray “Boots” Stidom 81, of Lewisburg, WV, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 6, 2018.
Harvey was born February 28, 1937 in Friars Hill, WV. He was the son of Ernest and Lucy Ray Stidom and beloved husband of 59 years to Margie Stidom.
Harvey retired from Mountain International, where he was a master mechanic. He was a talented woodworker and valued handyman to his family and friends. He was a member of McMillion United Methodist Church at Friars Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Stidom; and his granddaughter, Debra Bretz.
In addition to his wife, survivors are his five children, Dale Stidom (Linda) of Lewisburg, Rhonda Smith (George) of White Sulphur Springs, Cynthia Gresak (Thom) of Richmond, VA, Angela Miller (Brad) of Knoxville, TN, and Wendy Hylton (Daron) of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jared Smith (Kendra), Taren Winnings (Mitch), Hayden Gresak, Madison Gresak, and Noah Hylton; great-grandchildren, Izzabella and Laiklee; and one sister, Marjorie Bare (Sam) of Lewisburg.
There was a graveside service on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Morningside Cemetery in Renick, WV, with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating.
Visitation was also Sunday, July 8, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
