Mr. Murle Henderson Darnell, 91, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Darnell was born November 5, 1926 in Greenbrier County, WV, the son of Baston Henderson Darnell and Lillian Mammie Wade Darnell.
He was the husband of Grace Olena Holley Darnell. A lifelong resident of White Sulphur Springs, he served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during World War II. During his working career, Murle was employed by several companies, including Burlington Mills, Hercules and Hanover Shoe Outlet. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Darnell was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Mr. Darnell is survived by his children, Larry Henderson Darnell, David Lee Darnell and wife Robin, Teresa Lynn Ambler and Mary Ann Williams and husband Bret; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Ambler, Brock Darnell, Evan Darnell, Grace Darnell, Katy Darnell and Brianna Williams.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church, 223 W. Main St. White Sulphur Springs, with Pastor Kenny Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, July 9, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home in Covington, VA.
