Mary Matilda Walton, 72, of Droop, WV, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Born May 19, 1946, at Renick, WV, she was a daughter of George and Ethel Crane Lewis.
Mary was of the Baptist faith and a cook for the Pocahontas County Board of Education.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betheleen McCoy and Lulubell Lewis; and seven brothers, James, Hobert, Lacy Harrison, Bradford, Henry, and Orville Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Wilburn Walton, whom she married October 15, 1965; sons, Kirk and wife, Renee Walton, of Hillsboro, WV, and Jason and wife, Lisa Walton, of Marlinton, WV; grandchildren, Samantha Walton, Trey Walton, and Draegan McQuade; sister, Wanda Blankenship of Williamsburg, WV; two brothers, Sidney Lewis of Dallastown, PA, and Robert Lewis of Williamsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with the Revs. Otis Lewis and Marshall Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Cemetery on Bruffy’s Creek near Hillsboro.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services.
