Gary Dale Hoke Sr., 69, of Second Creek, WV, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at his home.
He was born at Ronceverte, WV, on December 26, 1948, a son of the late Henry Ott and Lura Reed Hoke.
Gary graduated from Union High School in 1967 and went on to complete his technical drafting and design training in Charleston, WV. He worked in the engineering department at ABB in Lewisburg, WV, for 32 years. Gary enjoyed managing his farm and Moncove Campground.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara Mays Hoke; a son, Gary Dale Hoke Jr. and wife, Angela, and granddaughter, Ashley of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Dianne and Dixie; sister-in-law, Janet Wolverton and husband, Ron, of Grottoes, VA; sister-in-law, Angela Cline and husband, Jerry, of Harrisonburg, VA; two nieces, April and Tabitha; and one nephew, Jeff.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with the Rev. Don Trent officiating.
Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery at Highland Park, WV. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, June 24.
