Nancy Leigh “Huggy” McDowell King, 42, of Alderson, WV, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.
She was born May 26, 1975, in Ronceverte, WV, to Robert Clyde McDowell III and the late Rose Marie Long McDowell.
Nancy was a homemaker and was a member of the Union Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher King; daughter, Summer Rose King of Alderson; sons, Caleb Andrew King and companion, Kimberly Johnson, of Fairlea, Christopher “Garion” King of Alderson; grandmother, Margaret Clark of Union, WV; father-in-law, Eric “Leroy” King of Alderson; mother-in-law, Nellie King of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Spencer Alethia King and River Andrew King; sisters, Cheryl Highlander and husband, Frank, of Union, Tracy Perkins of Gap Mills, WV, and Kelly McDowell of Covington, VA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 12 p.m. at the Union Church of God with the Rev. Mike Smith and the Rev. Todd Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon.
