ALDERSON W.Va. (WVDN) – The Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Choir and Friends will present their Annual Christmas Cantata on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson. The title is “Come Worship the King!” arranged by Russell Mauldin.
Organizers said, “Come and listen as the choir presents a joyous Christmas musical. God knew we needed a Savior, so He sent His son to rescue the world as our perfect Savior-King.”
The Cantata will be directed by Dell Wood and accompanied by Nancy Wood.
The participating choir members are Sopranos: Rose Carter, Charlotte Grimmett, Jo Honaker, Sylvia Keaton, Carolyn Jo Knapp, Mary Mitchell, Patty Reinhold, Donna Simms, Shirley Tolosa, Liz Wood, Louise Wood-Dixon; Altos: Stephanie Bachman, Cheryl Bice, Sandy Elam, Lea Ann Gwinn, Pam Hensley, Lynda Neff, Sophie Pace, Dena Williams; Tenors: Greg Holliday, Peggy Patterson, Curtis Pauley, Brennan Wood; Basses: Darrell Croy, Bob Holliday, Lawrence Lewis, Charlie Mulkey and Gary Williams. The narrator for the Cantata is Sheila Harris. The soloists are Charley Mulkey and Brennan Wood. Gary Williams is the percussionist with Brennan Wood on trumpet.
The church invites the public to attend this Christmas Cantata and worship with them through music. A reception will follow the performance in the fellowship hall.
