Greenbrier West’s Ethan Holliday was named the Captain of the Class A all-state defensive football team late last week. Holliday finished the 2023 season with 124 tackles, 23 TFLs and four interceptions in leading the Cavs to a state finals appearance. Vandall, a topflight quarterback as well, had 52 tackles, 12 TFLs, and two sacks.

James Monroe put offensive lineman Brady Baker on the first team offense along with his teammate Chaz Boggs as a utility player.
