Betty Lee Pinnell Smith

Betty Lee Pinnell Smith, 89, of Alderson, WV, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV.

Born July 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Bradley and Marie Evelyn Kershner Baker. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea and had retired from City National Bank in Alderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Pinnell Jr., and a brother, Robert Bradley Baker.

Survivors include her husband, John Watson Smith; son, Michael Scott Pinnell; daughter, Kathy Ann Pinnell Boone (Mikel); stepsons, Stuart Smith (Cheryl) and Greg Smith (Elizabeth); sister-in-law, Terri Baker; brother-in-law, Richard Pinnell; grandchildren, Michael (Chyna), Tyler, Carrie, Adam (Krissy), Rachel, Samuel, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Ember, Harlow, Liam, Cylee, Brynlee, Hunter, Maddie, Carson, Lucas, Xavier, Zoey, Cameron, Carmen, Rosie, and Ruthie; nieces, Stephanie Driscoll (Patrick) and Becky Pence (Boyd); and several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Fairlea with Pastor Ben Moses officiating. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV. Burial will follow the service, Thursday, in the Alderson Cemetery, Alderson, WV.
