FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – Editor’s note: Two students who participated in the swim meet wrote and submitted this article.
On Nov. 4, there was a swim meet at the Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center. There were 37 members that participated over the weekend and 49 personal best times. We had 50 first-time swim records, which was highly incredible. The most improved swimmer was Dolly Knight!
The following swimmers set new team age group records: Emil Applegate (50-yard backstroke), Ella Butler (100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke), Juliet Cooke (50-yard backstroke), Emily Hobbs (200-yard freestyle), Austin Gill (50-yard freestyle), Karissa Griffith (100-yard breaststroke), Cooper Homer (50-yard freestyle), Ben Kelso (100-yard breaststroke), Mayia McMunigal (50-yard freestyle), Milyn Neumann (50-yard breaststroke), Solomon Rodebaugh (25-yard backstroke), Natalee Sibold (100-yard backstroke, 50-yard breaststroke, and 100-yard IM), Luke Taylor (50-yard and 100-yard freestyle), and Marley White (200-yard freestyle).
Come cheer for the Sea Dragons as they compete in the SMAC Fall Invitational in Waynesboro, Virginia, on Nov. 18. They will also host the Allegheny Highlands YMCA Dolphins and Chief Logan Stingrays on Dec. 8. They need your support so that they can do their best! So, come join them and help them win! Swimming makes them feel happy, and they have put in their best efforts. They still have more to come in the future. All it takes is all you got!
