BECKLEY, WV- After making a nice push into the Region 3 championship game, the Greenbrier East Lady Spartans came up just short in a 3-0 loss to the George Washington Patriots on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Paul Cline Complex in Beckley.
East had defeated Woodrow Wilson and Oak Hill to advance into the Regional final.
Fans lined the streets from Fairlea to north Lewisburg to see the team bus head to the interstate.
East finished 10-8-2 on the year and look to come back even stronger next season for coach Mike Dotson.
