Kenneth Melvin Meadows, 73, of 135 7th Avenue in Neola, WV, died Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his residence.
He was born July 19, 1944, in Alleghany County, a son of Melvin Meadows and Martha Ward Meadows.
Kenneth retired in 2008 as a stationary engineer with Walmart in Covington.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three infant sons.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Virginia Rose “Susie” Meadows of Neola, WV; two sons, Kenneth Meadows II and his wife, Veronica, of Neola, WV, and Kevin Meadows of Greenville, VA; five grandchildren, Krystal Meadows, Kenneth Meadows III, Thaddeus Brandon, Hezekiah Brandon, and Trey Tucker; four great- grandchildren who were the love of his life, Violet Meadows, Aurora Meadows, Luna Meadows, and Layden Long, his little buddy; five brothers, Manual Meadows and his wife, Myra, of Cockran, KS, Charlie Meadows and his wife, Charlotte, of Clifton Forge, VA, Eddie Meadows and his wife, Lou, of Covington, VA, Steve Meadows and his wife, Leslie, of Covington, and Marshall Meadows and his wife, Brenda, of Iron Gate, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated.
The funeral service was held Sunday January 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.
Following the service, the family received their friends at Arritt Funeral Home.
