FRANKFORD W.Va. (WVDN) – An alert stating Anthony Road in the Frankford area was closed due to a gas leak went out on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 24. Recent information indicates that a propane tank was damaged outside of the Frankford Dollar General Store in a vandalism incident.
According to a statement from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, officers are seeking information on one or more individuals who allegedly destroyed property outside of the Frankford Dollar General Store. Reportedly, the damaged items include a large propane tank and an outside water source. Some articles were also allegedly taken from inside the store.
The Sheriff’s Office also stated, “During the course of the investigation, items were discovered scattered along Anthony Road between U.S. Route 219 and Vago Road, indicating that those responsible traveled Anthony Road after the crime occured.”
