RONCEVERTE (WVDN) – Get ready, Mountaineer fans! Three prominent names from the most listened-to podcast covering West Virginia University football and basketball will be making their way to Ronceverte this weekend.
The Sportsman Tavern will host Tony Caridi, Brad Howe and Hoppy Kercheval for a special two-day event. WVU fans will have the chance to socialize with their favorite trio from the ‘3 Guys Before the Game’ podcast while also enjoying food from local eateries and celebrating businesses in The Greenbrier Valley. “We look forward to having a special group of people here and hope that everyone can come out and join us,” says Dan Withrow of The Sportsman Tavern.
On Friday evening, July 28, ticket holders will be granted access to a private gathering from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Caridi, Howe and Kercheval will mingle with the crowd as everyone enjoys food provided by Chef Paul Smith of 1010 Bridge in Charleston, West Virginia. Smith was recognized for his culinary excellence as a James Beard Award Finalist in 2023 for Best Chef in the Southeast category and is the first West Virginia chef to receive this honor. At the conclusion of the evening, an auction will be held with all proceeds benefiting local schools and the community in Greenbrier County. There will be a total of 100 tickets sold for this event at a cost of $200 each, several of which are still available.
The following morning, Saturday, July 29, everyone is invited to The Sportsman Tavern from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for another appearance, this one being open to the public. Fans will have the chance to see Caridi, Howe and Kercheval once again as they not only promote their ‘3 Guys Before the Game’ podcast but also “Spotlight Greenbrier Valley” by highlighting local businesses. Guests will include Sixpence Pizza, Mountain Table, Haulin’ Axe, Flavor Mutt and Mark Bowe of Barnwood Builders. Food for this event will be provided by Sixpence Pizza, Flavor Mutt, The Rolling Stove and Greenbrier Dairy.
The Sportsman Tavern is located at 683 W. Edgar Avenue in Ronceverte, West Virginia.
