Jonathan Park, 88, of Naples, FL, died Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Frances Georgeson Hospice House after a sudden turn in a debilitating illness.
Jonathan was born November 25, 1929, in Columbus, OH, a son of late Warren and Faith Philbin Park.
He had been a winter resident of Naples for many years before moving permanently in 2014 from Lewisburg, WV, to Naples with his wife, Emily.
He graduated from Ohio State University and attended Williams College in Williamston, MA. Mr. Park was a United States Navy veteran. His career was spent working as a real estate banker at United Bank of Charleston, WV. In Lewisburg he was a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church and was a retired member of Rotary International.
Jonathan played the banjo most of his life and while in Florida, he enjoyed playing the banjo as part of the Bonita Village String Band. Jonathan was also an avid golfer and loved to dance.
Survivors include his living wife of 48 years, Emily Whitmore Park; and niece, Kathy Koche.
He will be inurned at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg upon the demise of his wife. A service will be held at Aston Gardens in Naples on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 11 AM for friends and family.
Donations in lieu of flowers will be appreciated at Avow Hospice, Naples.
