On October 19, the U.S. Senate passed a budget pan on a 51-49 vote, with every Democrat voting no and every Republican, with the exception of Rand Paul, R-Ky, voted in favor of the bill.
The resolution is a budget plan that establishes the congressional budget for the federal government for fiscal year 2018 and sets forth budgetary levels for fiscal years 2019-2027. The Congressional Budget Office, the agency that analyzes potential laws and budgets that pass through Congress and reports on their potential effects on the economy and government revenue, has not released a cost estimate for the bill.
