Wayne Carson King
Wayne Carson King, 67, of Ronceverte, WV, died of cancer on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Genesis Family Care Center in White Sulphur Springs.
Wayne was born in Ronceverte, WV, on February 17, 1956. He was the eldest of five children born to James Carson and Bonnie Kanipes King.
Wayne was a graduate of Greenbrier East High School, Class of 1974, and went on to attend auto-diesel mechanic school in Tennessee. Wayne was a long-time employee of M&H Car Sales as a light-duty mechanic and recently employed by McDaniel Auto Sales. He was also a NASCAR enthusiast.
He faithfully attended Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Wayne is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Bonnie King; companion, Teresa Morgan, and her grandson, Nick Johnson, cherished by Wayne like his own grandson, and Nick’s parents, Lea Ann and Jeremie Johnson; siblings, Tina Donovan (Tim), Kent King (Janet), Kathy Bailey (Mike), and Tracy Norris (Eric); nephews and nieces, Ty Donovan (Melissa), Todd Donovan, Thomas Donovan, Krista King, Jarrod King, Garrett Bailey (Katy), Brooke Bailey, Ashton Norris, Caydon Norris, and Kylie Norris; and several great-nephews and nieces.
Pursuant to Wayne’s request, a graveside service will be held at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. for all who want to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mitsy’s Wings, or any charitable organization of your choice on behalf of Wayne King.
