Olena Chesnut Kersey
Olena Chesnut Kersey, 98, of St. Albans, WV, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Born April 17, 1925, at Neola, WV, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence O. and Hallie Gabbert Chesnut.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Kersey; and daughter, Linda Friend; three brothers; and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Wayne Kersey (Karen) of St. Albans; son-in-law, Don Friend of Spotsylvania, VA; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
