LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The staff of The West Virginia Daily News delivered items collected during our Humane Society drive to the Greenbrier County Animal Shelter on Thursday, May 4.
Daily News staff loaded up two vehicles full of items that were generously donated by our readers and brought them to the shelter.
“The staff, volunteers and board of directors of the Greenbrier Humane Society sincerely appreciate the West Virginia Daily News and their readers for all of their continued support,’ said Greenbrier Humane Society Executive Director Mareda Doss. “The care we are able to provide to the homeless or displaced dogs and cats of Greenbrier County is made possible through the support that we receive from our amazing community.”
The Humane Society still has need for more items, and community members are asked to bring them to the animal shelter located on Holliday Lane, west of downtown Lewisburg.
“Right now, our most immediate needs include paper towels, bleach, HE laundry detergent and bagged dog and cat food. We use the bagged dog and cat food to provide assistance to the local food pantries throughout Greenbrier County — just a small way we can give back to the community that gives so much to us,” said Doss.
The West Virginia Daily News thanks all of you for your generous donations!
