LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Carnegie Hall is now accepting registrations for its 30th annual Kids’ College, scheduled for 9 a.m.- p.m. on July 10-14 (Week One) and July 17-21 (Week Two).
The program is open to students entering kindergarten through seventh grade. Kids’ College offers children the chance to explore artistic and scientific subjects in a secure and supportive environment. Taught by trained teaching artists, classes take place at Carnegie Hall and include pottery, origami, baking, leather craft, cooking, fashion, music, theater, felting and more.
Two daily sessions are available, morning and afternoon, with children able to select up to five different arts and science classes each day.
Scholarships, provided by United Way of the Greenbrier Valley and individual donors, can be requested during enrollment.
To volunteer for Carnegie Hall’s Kids’ College, visit the website and click on the “Volunteer for Kids’ College” link. Volunteer placement is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be influenced by instructor requests and enrollment factors. Adult volunteers receive a 10% discount on their student’s tuition.
Registration is available online, with limited class sizes. Families will be informed of their child’s schedule prior to the start of Kids’ College.
