The Greenbrier County Commission has begun revising the official Greenbrier County Towing Policy. The first revision passed Tuesday, September 12, concerning minimum insurance requirements by any tow companies operating in the county. Additional potential revisions were also discussed, but not yet passed.
“I’ve had several calls regarding the insurance limits, not only from tow companies, but also from insurance agents,” said Commission President Woody Hanna. “Perhaps we had adopted insurance limits that were too high, and it certainly wasn’t the intent of this commission to eliminate towing companies by making the insurance cost so prohibitive that they couldn’t make a profit.
