Hilda Yates, 75, of Meadow Bluff, WV, died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at her home.
Born August 19, 1942, at Frankford, WV, she was the daughter of Alfred and Martha Loudermilk.
She was loving and caring to all and didn’t know a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Yates and Steven Walkup; a daughter, Dorothy Lynne Snedegar; a son, Bobby Yates; and brothers, Denny, Charles, Kenny, Lacy, Harold, Date, and Harvey Loudermilk.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Debbie Yates of Clarksburg, WV; son, Tommy Yates (Laurie) of Ronceverte, WV; brothers, Estil, Luke, and Eddie Loudermilk; sisters, Mary “Fan” Sturgell, Wanda “Doll” Sheppard, and Dessie Workman; son-in-law, Mike Snedegar of Charlottesville, VA; grandson, Michael Snedegar of Charlottesville; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Herring and Michael and Lexie Snedegar; step-grandkids, Brandon Sykes and children, Ashley Johnson (Ian) and children, and Ryan, Brooke, and Tyler; special kids, Madison and Carson Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Hilda’s life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 15, 2017, at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV with the Rev. Kenny Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
McCraw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
