SINKS GROVE, W.Va. (WVDN) – Indigo Sky Graves of Sinks Grove will be attending Marshall University in the fall of 2023 as part of the 37th class of the Society of Yeager Scholars. Graves, along with seven other students, will be part of the Class of Gullickson Yeager Scholars.
The Yeager Scholarship is Marshall University’s most prestigious scholarship. Members of the society are selected through a highly competitive interview process from high school seniors from throughout the United States. Those chosen receive a four-year scholarship that includes full tuition and fees, full room and board, study at Oxford University, a stipend for textbooks and supplies and an additional study abroad experience, among other benefits of the scholarships.
Graves will be majoring in biomedical engineering and pursuing other minors that peak her interests.
Graves is the daughter of Birch and Gretchen Graves of Sinks Grove. She is the granddaughter of Helen and Rod Graves of Sinks Grove and Margaret Gossard of Lewisburg.
