Don Lee Aleshire, 71, of Frankford, WV, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Charleston Area Medical Center – Memorial, Charleston, WV.
Born April 17, 1946, at Gap Mills, WV, he was the son of Ira Benjamin and Madeline Bostic Aleshire.
He was a meat cutter for over 40 years. Don was a member of the Graystone Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonna Lynn Aleshire; two sisters, Cordelia Reed and Amelia Michell; three brothers, Alvin, Bedford, and Dennis Aleshire; and a niece, Diane Reed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Jeanie Aleshire; daughters, Bridget Kay Aleshire of Ronceverte, WV, Carmilla Jean Aleshire of Roanoke, VA, Betty Jean Long and husband, Danny, of Ronceverte, and Jennifer Lynn Vance and husband, Pat, of Fairlea, WV; grandchildren, Paul, Richard, Jamela, Taylor, Adaire, Danielle, Courtney, and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Aspen, Meah, and Jayla; two brothers, Max Aleshire and wife, Brenda, of North Carolina, and Ben Aleshire and wife, Brenda, of Roanoke, VA; sister, Matilda Vance and husband, Eddie, of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Graystone Baptist Church in Ronceverte with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
