Sherman Richard McMillion, 78, of Fairlea, WV, passed away at his home following an extended illness.
Born March 5, 1939, at Lewisburg, WV, he was the son of John Luther and Anna Elizabeth Erskine McMillion.
Sherman had worked as a mechanic for G.P. Sales and Service. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and Gary McMillion.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Geraldine Morgan McMillion; daughter, Sheri Lynn Lubniewski and husband, Joseph, of Levittown, NY; grandchildren, Marc and Jarrett Lubniewski of Levittown; two brothers, Glenn McMillion and wife, Karen, of Blacksburg, VA, and Harold McMillion of Lewisburg; one sister, Gaul Mauzy of Lewisburg; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
It was Sherman’s wish to be cremated.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, August 14, 2017, at 7 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, with Robert Hefner officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
