Virginia Grace Harford Tharp, 93, of Caldwell, WV, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.
Born June 17, 1923, in Middleton, OH, she was the daughter of Lester Brian Harford and Ada Ethel Coldiron Jameson.
Ms. Tharp was a member of the Caldwell Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from The Greenbrier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Ronald Tharp; brother, Oliver Harford; three sisters, Esther Hammons, Elsie Byers, and Lucille Workman; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Lester Tharp and wife, Natalie, of Caldwell, and Bill Tharp and wife, Kim, of Burlington, KY; three daughters, Evelyn Grace Lewis and husband, Vesper, of Renick, WV, Linda Ina Rutherford of Lewisburg, WV, and Barbara Ann Hughes of Reno, NV; brother, Cleo Harford of Greensburg, IN; grandchildren, Christopher Tharp, Hayleigh and Hannah Tharp, Sheila Withrow, and husband, Spencer, Daniel Lewis and wife, Peggy, Warren Tharp, Jennifer Smith and husband, Joel, and John Hughes; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Woodland Community Church in Auto, WV, with Pastors Richard Hutchinson and Everette Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Community Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
