LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – At the regular service meeting of the Lewisburg Rotary Club on Thursday, Feb. 23, the club assembled and packed school supplies for delivery to area elementary schools.
Through the generosity of local Rotarians, plus receipt of a Rotary District grant, the Lewisburg Rotary Club acquired $2,000 in school supplies for Frankford, Lewisburg, and Ronceverte elementary schools.
Lewisburg Rotarian Sarah Polk spearheaded the club’s efforts in this important service project. Supplies were delivered to the schools by Rotary volunteers on Friday, Feb. 24.
For those interested in joining the Lewisburg Rotary Club, the next meeting will be held on Monday, March 13, at 12 p.m. at the Elks Country Club in Lewisburg.
