LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Seneca Trail Christian Academy (STCA) varsity girls brought home the final win of the basketball season over the Lewisburg Baptist Academy Lions on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the West Virginia Christian Education Association (WVCEA) tournaments held at the Summersville Armory.

The final score was 33-25. 

Josie Banton had a double-double for the Lady Blazers with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Individual scoring for STCA: J. Banton with 10, S. Banton with 9, P. Altizer with 8, K. McClung with 4 and L. Sheets with 2.

 Individual awards were given out with the all-state awards being given to Paige Altizer & Sandy Banton. Josie Banton was named the captain of the all-state Team.

In addition, all-tournament awards were received by Josie Banton and Paige Altizer, and the MVP of the tournament was given to Sandy Banton.

The Lady Blazers are the WVCEA “A” state champs.
