Greenbrier East FFA members who worked three ham stand shifts were rewarded with a trip to the Pennsylvania Farm Show. These members attended the show for three days, Jan. 11-13.
On the Jan. 11, members left Greenbrier East at 8 a.m., stopped to bowl along the way and went shopping at a local mall. The next day, they attended the farm show and a rodeo.
Students were given the opportunity to see various livestock, visit the dairy birthing center, learn about Pennsylvania agriculture, play games, shop and make new friends along the way.
On their third and final day, they left the hotel at 7:30 a.m. to tour Gettysburg, about an hour away from the hotel. Students watched a video about the history of Gettysburg, saw a huge painting that helped show what it looked like after the war and learned so much.
Thirty-six students and 13 adults attended this incredible trip.
