Edith Carrington McQuade, 73, of Organ Cave, WV, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Born March 16, 1943, in Roanoke, VA, Edith was the daughter of William E. and Delcie Mae Riley Carrington.
Edith was retired after over 30 years of employment from The Greenbrier hotel and was a member of the Greenbrier Baptist Church in Ronceverte, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and Mabel; and six brothers, Charles, Everette, Leck, Harvey, Clarence, and Robert.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years, Jerry F. McQuade of Ronceverte; daughter, Sabrina F. McQuade of Bennettsville, SC; sons, Jerry S. McQuade and wife, Amy Bishop McQuade, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Daniel R. McQuade and wife, Dr. Lizzy McQuade, of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Sandra Goan, Tiffany Cox, Corey Gianvito, Draegan McQuade, and Jovi McQuade; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, William Carrington and wife, Linda, of White Sulphur Springs and Bob Mullens of Nashville, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Gardens Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, June 8, at the funeral home in Ronceverte.
