Alexander Junior Crookshanks, 85, of Crawley, WV, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV.
Alex was born September 11, 1930, at Cornstalk, WV, to Alexander and Mary Virginia Jackson Crookshanks.
He was a retired truck driver for the West Virginia Department of Transportation and was an Army Korean War veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Lois Hale Crookshanks in 1992; son, Dwain Crookshanks; five sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include daughters, Susan Berry and husband, Roger, of Crawley, Lucille Shortridge and companion, Dennis Vaughan, of Crawley, and Tina Forren and husband, Randy, of Dawson, WV, son, John Crookshanks and wife, Tammy, of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Misty, Brian, Cassi, Al, and Daisy; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Reagan, Liam, Evan, Jak, and Grayson.
Funeral services with military rites are scheduled for 2 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum with Pastor Vincent Deeds officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum on Tuesday.
