Frances Louise Morgan, a loving mother and grandmother, of McGaheysville, VA, went to be with her Lord Friday morning, March 4, 2016, at Sentra RMA Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA.
She was born December 25, 1926, in Greenbrier County, WV, the daughter of Lonnie and Lilly Bell Martin Masters.
Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and was a very talented artisan. She loved sewing, crocheting, floral arranging, and collecting antiques. Frances loved going to flea markets with her children, feeding her birds, and morning coffee with her sons. One of her last shared thoughts was of how close to God she felt while walking on the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Corbie Jackson Morgan in 1989; a daughter, Dreama Glazzard; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Dalton Lynch of Second Creek, WV, and Jackie Cochran and husband, Carl, of Neola, WV; sons, Mike Morgan and wife, Vicki, and Jake Morgan and wife, Diane, all of McGaheysville; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Masters of Caldwell, WV; and one brother, Robert Masters of Frankford, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Monday, March 7, 2016, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Ronceverte, WV, with Pastor Danny Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery.
A visitation was held Sunday, March 6, from 6-8 PM at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
