Charles “Jack” Cook, 66, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at home.
Born March 12, 1949, in Slab Fork, WV, he was the son of Charles Eugene and Phyllis Pauline Acord Cook.
Jack was a retired coal miner/construction worker, having worked for Cypress Kanawha Coal and United Steel Workers. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Asbury, WV.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Denise Belt.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary “Sue” Loggins Cook of Lewisburg; son, C.J. Cook (Betsy) of Victorville, CA; son-in-law, Keith Belt of Clay, WV; grandchildren, Jami Belt of Clay and Joey Cook, Lena Cook, and Abby Cook, all of Victorville; great-grandson, Nolan Belt of Clay; and brother, Roger Cook (Mary Jo) of Crawley, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Grace Bible Church at Asbury with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12 PM until time of the service at 2 PM at the church in Asbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
