Elva Pauley Martin, 89, of Covington, VA, formerly of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015, at home.
Born August 27, 1926, at Ronceverte, Elva was the daughter of the late Perry Webster and Lula May Morgan Pauley.
She was a former secretary from the Industrial Rayon Corp. in Covington and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Martin in 2002; daughter, Amy Lisa Price; grandson, Daniel Bailey; sisters, Ruby Constance Taylor and Arlene May Pauley; and a brother, T.R. Pauley.
She is survived by a daughter, Timmie Jocelyn Bailey of Covington, VA; sons, Billy Joe Martin of Conyers, GA, Gregory Allen Martin of Covington, Web Kelly Martin of Roanoke, VA, Walter Kim Martin of Nellysford, VA, and Andy Russell Martin of Smyrna, TN; three sisters, Winifred Joycelyn Pauley of Ronceverte, WV, Emily Jane Holswade of Ronceverte, and Brenda Jacobson of Phoenix, AZ; four brothers, Edwin J. Pauley of Berthoud, CO, Dennis Pauley of Ronceverte, James Pauley of Hillsborough, OH, and Perry Pauley of Ronceverte; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 11 AM at the Pauley-Massie Cemetery, Morgan Hollow, Ronceverte, with the Rev. Gary Baker officiating.
Those wishing to attend the service may gather at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte after 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
