Genevieve Palmer James, 94, of The Creekside at The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away early Monday morning, August 31, 2015, at the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center.
Born January 8, 1921, in Valparaiso, IN, she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Helen Fargo Stevens Capouch.
She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in White Sulphur Springs. Graduating at Barnum Drama, she enjoyed British drama, plays, and theatre. She also liked to read, cook, and shop.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee James, in 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Alexandria James, at home; several nieces; and one nephew.
Her funeral service will be held for Friday, September 4, 2015, at 1 PM in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Christopher Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
