Carolyn Kirby Baker of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, September 2, 2015, at The Brier Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Ronceverte after a long illness.
Born February 19, 1930, in Fort Spring, WV, she was the daughter of the late Paul Alexander and Mamie Marie Deem Kirby.
She was a member of the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church and retired from Greenbrier Valley Hospital.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoochie Baker; and a brother, Jack Kirby.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Ronnie (Sharon), Kenny (Connie) David “Crock” (Pam), and Darrell (Rudy) Baker, all of Ronceverte; daughters, Kay Bennett (Rick) of Ronceverte and GeeGee Roberts (Stuart) of Renick, WV; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Basil Baker and wife, Faye, of Ronceverte.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with the Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery at Ronceverte.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home in Ronceverte.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
