James Fredrick “Heck” Alderson, 86, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015, at his home in Alderson, WV, following a long illness.
Born May 4, 1929, in Alderson, he was the son of the late Hershel Alderson and the late Daisy Maude Trout Alderson Neel.
Mr. Alderson was a truck driver, having retired after many years of service from the West Virginia Department of Transportation in Union, WV. He was a 1948 graduate of Alderson High School in Alderson and was a member of the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson. Mr. Alderson loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Elmo Alderson and William Ray Alderson.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Rosie Marie Tincher Alderson of Alderson; three sons, James Fredrick “Huck” Alderson II and Tracy of Wilmington, OH, Jeffrey Alan Alderson of Rose Hill, KS, and Darrell Wayne “Tater” Alderson and Kelli of Alderson; seven grandchildren, Christopher Alderson and Kim of Arkansas, Casey Alderson of Kansas, Cody Alderson of Kansas, Cory Alderson of Kansas, Steven Alderson of Quinwood, WV, Brandon Alderson of Quinwood, and his little princess, Keylan Alderson of Arkansas; three great-granddaughters, Chloe Marie Alderson of Kansas, Anna Marie Alderson of Arkansas, and Aspen Lea Alderson of Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Loretta Alderson of Alderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2015, at 11 AM at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel in Alderson with the Revs. Gary Trout and Ike Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the Alderson Cemetery in Alderson.
Friends may call Sunday, August 30, from 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Alderson.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
