John Marion Harman III, 67, of Anderson Drive, Princeton, WV, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV, with his family by his side.
Born July 10, 1947, in Bluefield, son of Dorothy Hazeltine Bogle Harman of Bluefield and the late John Marion Harman Jr.
He had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County, WV, and was a former coal miner and coil winder for National Coil and Lynn Electric. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Fouse Harman.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his daughter, Tonya Harman Lewis and Larry of Bluefield; two sons, Richard Harman of Bluefield and John Harman IV of Bluefield; stepdaughter, Debbie Jenkins and Richard of North Carolina; sister, Elsie Louise Bassett and William of Lewisburg, WV; grandchildren, Justin Lewis, Crystal Phillips, and Misty Mize.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 20, 2015, at 1 PM at the Craven-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Pastor C.T. Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call Thursday, February 19, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
