Linda Morgan Shope, 69, of Organ Cave, WV, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA, following a short illness.

Linda was born July 21, 1945, in Ronceverte, WV, the daughter of the late Webster and Erma Morgan Morgan.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was a retired assembler with ABB in Lewisburg, WV, and a member of Highland Park Community Church and loved the Lord greatly.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Glenna Bradley and Theda Campbell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” Shope; four grown children, Roberta Shope (Ronnie Bennett) of Organ Cave, Robert “Hoss” Shope Jr. (Susan) of Broad Run, Rebecca Hines (Randy) of Hines, WV, and Regina Vance (Steve) of Second Creek, WV; three grandchildren, Miranda Shope and husband, Patrick Sims, Christopher Hines, and Keene Vance; two great-grandchildren, Robert Shope and Leona Sims; five step-grandchildren, Scooter Brookman (Lajuana), Lori Cox (Josh), Dr. Heather Ratliff (John), Stevie Vance Jr., and Clayton Vance; three step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Brookman, Allysia and Adria Ratliff; four brothers, Jesse Morgan (Lottie), David Morgan (Bonnie), Andrew Morgan (Mary), and Joey Morgan (Debbie); four sisters, Thelma McQuade, Marcia Wickline (Wayne), Martha Harrison (Harold), and Joann Honaker (Tommy); sister-in-law, Vada Saylor, and her son, Jerry Saylor; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Linda’s funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 2 PM at the Highland Park Community Church with Pastors Fred Bostic and Jesse Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, January 21, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.

Pallbearers will be Jerry McQuade Jr., Don Bridges, Junior Williams, Michael Andrews, Billy Level, and Danny Level.

Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
