Carl Adrin “Red” McMillion, 86, of Cass, WV, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA.
Born October 6, 1928, at Renick, he was the son of the late Orville and Veda Cutlip McMillion.
Red served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and worked all his life on the railroad, retiring as an engineer on the Cass Scenic Railroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl McMillion Jr.; and two brothers, Eddie and Denver McMillion.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gladys McCoy McMillion; daughter, Sherry Johnson of Cass; sons, Doug McMillion of Covington, VA, and David McMillion of Cass; grandchildren, Megan, Mac, and Bradley McMillion and Jacob Johnson; great-granddaughter, Selina McMillion; brother, Leo McMillion of Etters, PA; and sisters, Linda Rose of Hillsboro, WV, and Essie King of York, PA.
Services will be conducted at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Ron Kinzel officiating. Burial will follow in McMillion United Methodist Church on Friars Hill, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, January 19, at the funeral home.
