Mary Jane Cornwell, 80, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Williamsburg Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Born April 3, 1934, in Renick,WV, she was the daughter of the late Homer L. Lowance and Ethel Prudence Eagle Lowance.

Mary Jane worked at various locations, including the FBI in Washington, D.C., and retired as a data automation specialist at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton,VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Doran E. Cornwell; two daughters, Lisa Cornwell and husband, Bill Link, of Hampton and Sharon Moll of Williamsburg; son, Michael Cornwell and wife, Cheryl, of Midlothian, VA; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryan Moll and Jacob and Ryan Cornwell; a sister, Emojean Kyle and husband, Ed, of Newark, OH; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A remembrance service is scheduled for Mary Jane at 1 PM on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Ronceverte Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte, WV. Interment will immediately follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg with the Rev. Bryan C. Baker officiating.

All are invited to the church for a meal after the interment.

Friends and family will be received at the church from 12-1 PM on Friday.

Mary Jane always called Ronceverte home, but she had the opportunity to live in many other wonderful places during her lifetime, including Japan, Hawaii, Florida, Washington, D.C., California, Pennsylvania, Washington state, Ohio, Kansas, and Virginia. She was always happy spending time with her family, visiting the beach, bowling, and cheering for her favorite team, the Virginia Tech Hokies.

In lieu of flowers, please, make donations to the Ronceverte Trinity United Methodist Church, 707 Pocahontas Avenue, Ronceverte, WV 24970.
