Joan Marie White-Leydet, 77, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014.
Born March 13, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine Frost McCarthy.
During her working years, she was a beautician at The Greenbrier. Joan was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs and was a former member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department Auxiliary.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by George N. White Jr.
Survivors include a son, George Roger White (Candace) of White Sulphur Springs; grandson, Ryan Wayne Hulmes of Clarksburg, WV; and a half brother, Benny Malchiodi (Pahton) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Her memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 2 PM in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with Father Chapin Engler officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department.
