Harriet Janet Cavallaro, 84, of Frankford, WV, formerly of Conover, NC, and raised in Keyser, WV, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge, VA, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Cavallaro was born June 16, 1930, at Piedmont, WV, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Sudie Trenton Ahern.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening, travel, and bridge. She was fond of animals and enjoyed the companionship of her Schnauzers. She attended Potomac State College and was a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, WV.
Preceding her in death, other than her parents, was her sister, Anna Rose Haggerty.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Dr. Joseph William Cavallaro; daughter, Carole Cavallaro of Roanoke, VA; son, Alan Cavallaro and husband, Joseph Naughton-Travers of Plainfield, NJ; brother, Norman Ahern and wife, Joan, of Lewisburg, WV; nephews, Kevin Ahern and Norman Ahern Jr., both of Lewisburg, Dr. Ronald Haggerty of Fort Ashby, WV, and Jerry Haggerty of Cummings, GA.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
