Hestie D. Mann, 70, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014.
Born September 4, 1944, in Caldwell, WV, she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Lula Richmond of Organ Cave, WV.
Hestie was a long time resident of White Sulphur Springs, where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Caldwell. She graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School and worked at The Greenbrier hotel her entire life until her retirement. Hestie attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church of White Sulphur Springs, where she always talked about how wonderful and caring the church’s members were to her.
She liked to cook, visit yard sales on the weekends, and was an avid reader. She loved traveling when the opportunity arose. Her heart and love always went out to others before herself, for which she will be forever remembered, along with her big blue eyes and beautiful smile.
Her brothers, Holbert Richmond and Homer Richmond preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Carroll H. Mann; two daughters, Lula Dawn Mann-Martin and husband, Matt, of Organ Cave and Tina Mann Collins and husband, Terry, of Shinnston, WV; son, Darrell Hinkle of Ronceverte, WV; brothers, John Richmond and wife of Dallas, TX, “Buddy” Richmond and wife of Virginia, and “Leon” Richmond and wife of Virginia; her dear friend, Margaret Bennett; and two grandsons, Garrett and Cody.
There will be no memorial service upon her request.
