Michael “Mike” S. Adwell Sr., 58, of Caldwell, WV, passed away Friday morning, November 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by family.

Mike was born January 10, 1956, in Clifton Forge, VA, the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Legg Adwell and was raised by his adopted parents, the late Charles and Ruth Hall Adwell.

He was a carpenter by trade.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia “Pam” Miller Adwell; sons, Michael Stephen Adwell Jr. of Caldwell, James Travis Adwell and companion, Jessica Lynn Estep, of Caldwell and their children, Blakelyn Rose Adwell, Ryker Weston Adwell, and Nena Loryn Adwell and James Berkley and their mother, Stacey Reeves; sisters, Patty Totten (Gordon) of Fairlea, WV, Donna Sue Price (Jimmy) of Lewisburg, Cheryl Ervin (Joe) of Frankford, WV, Elaine Christian (Raymond) of New Castle, VA, and Sharon Means of Florida; brothers, Earl Adwell (Sheila) of Grantsville, WV, and Donnie Adwell (Shirley) of Caldwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family Graveside service will be held Monday, November 17, 2014, with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, November 16, from 6-8 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
