Ella Brent McClung, 97, of Lewisburg, WV, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at her home after a short illness.
She was born July 25, 1917, at Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Brown Simms.
She was a member of the Clifton Presbyterian Church at Maxwelton, WV, and a homemaker.
Mrs. McClung was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. McClung; brothers, Charles, Ray, Perry, James, Clarence, and William Simms; sister, Kathleen Simms; and a grandson, Michael S. McClung.
She is survived by a son, William S. McClung (Ruth) of Lewisburg; a daughter, Shirley L. Glover (Johnny) of Ronceverte, WV; a brother, Kenneth “Bud” Simms (Della Lea) of Fairlea, WV; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014, at 11 AM at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Stephen Baldwin officiating with burial in Riverview Cemetery at Ronceverte.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of the service.
McCraw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
