Raymond Allen Geiger, 50, of Alderson, WV, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014.

He was born August 11, 1964, in Columbus, OH, a son of Lynn Geiger Boggs of Ronceverte, WV, and the late Tom Geiger.

Raymond was a 1987 graduate of WVU and was a former medical technologist at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte.

In spite of issues with his heart, Raymond accomplished all he wanted to do as an adventurer. He went scuba diving in the Panama Canal, kayaking, skydiving, went on an Alaskan cruise, and went to the Grand Canyon. He loved the outdoors, was a Master Gardener, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a talented musician who dearly loved his high school band family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Geiger, in 1982; and a nephew, Thommy Geiger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Lynn Geiger Boggs of Ronceverte; three sisters, Deborah Geiger of Summersville, WV, and Margie Geiger and Dee Geiger Richmond and husband, Eddie, all of Meadow Bridge, WV; a brother, Thomas Geiger of Maysel, WV; a niece and nephews he dearly loved, Courtney Richmond of Meadow Bridge, Kyle Geiger of Summersville, Travis Richmond of Meadow Bridge, and Jeremy Geiger of Maysel; and grandniece and grandnephews, Keri, Isaac, and Aiden.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2014, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Chris Thompson officiating.

A visitation will be held from 2-3 PM on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
